OBAMA PROJECTED TO WIN

All of the networks have given CA, OR, and WA to Obama. He now has more than the required 270 electoral votes.

The first minority president.

The first member of Congress elected president in 48 years.

Only the second Democrat to be president since 1980, only the third since 1968.

You should not accuse someone that you don't know of being a muslim, and also it's a religion, and does not mean that someone who is of muslim faith is going to be a terrorist or suicide bomber. Most are not also, only the radicals are. And we will see these next four years if Obama is quilified or not.

Your comment about Muslims, Grant, was completely uncalled for.
Muslims practice Islam, and Islam literally translates into 'peace'. Islam has been given a terrible name because of 9/11. 9/11 WAS CAUSED BY A TERRORIST GROUP, not by the Islamic religion.
9/11 goes against completely what Islam stands for.

...Besides, Barack is a CHRISTIAN, not that it matters. Your dear John McCain even said so himself.

WHOOAAAA. Grant all these people dissing you. are you gonna take taht lol. wow .... McCains a beast.

Brandi...you have strong words, Grant, you should listen to them.

Mr. Crane said...

Well said Brandi and Bethany.

As I said on another thread, before Zach and Grant head to Canada (and now apparently taking Cami with them), they should know that Canada is more liberal than the United States. :-)

islam means nothing like peace! wow no islam is a group who practices there own religon. NOT PEACE!

Why are the McCain supporters being so harsh towards Obama's win? Can't people graciously accept who wins and not be so insulting towards the victor. I know that I being a voter and having had voted, that I would have been alright if my canidate lost, I would not have reacted in such a hateful way towards the victor.

Cami, I'm sorry, but you really need to read up on your fact.
My brother is a Muslim, and I can tell you for a fact that the word 'Islam' translates into 'Peace'.
Also, almost all of their holy books and scriptures promotes peace.
But Islam is not the issue here. Still, you should read up on your facts before you comment on something you don't know.

Mr. Crane, that's what i was going for with my sarcastic remark about Canada.

Incase anyone is going to whip out middle names, Hussein means "good, small, handsome one".

Yes it is islam.

Losing isn't fun, but we shouldn't take it out on others, just like winners shouldn't talk trash either. When our country is in such bad shape, economically and otherwise, hopefully all Americans will be able to come together under the new president, even if he wasn't your first choice.

Wow, Florida AND Virginia went to Obama. Not like it matters anymore, it just is increasing his win.

hbrown said...

Agreed!

haha Brandi that was alll my mom she gets into this political stuff. and aggreed with Grant. and told me to say that haha, i have no idea if islams peace or not :]

Cavil, you need to look at your history and look at the facts of the islamic religion. The Quran teaches peace and only through people's interpretations have they been able to support suicide bombing as an act of jihad and one that will get someone into heaven. The Quran does not say that you will be brought into heaven because suicide bombers kill many innocent which is against the commandments of the Quran.

Very well said, Bethany.

Goodnight, all. I am going to sleep tired and content.

Senator McCain has a very nice speech going on right now on CBS, it is really nice and heart felt.

hbrown said...

Yeah, I just was watching it too. I wonder how he's feeling right now..

Anonymous said...

disappointed, but he had to have had fun, i mean, it's not everyday that you get to have a chance at being...The President of the United States.

Unknown said...

like crying. i would, if i just spent millions and millions on something that i had 50/50 chance in, i would cry.

Mr. Crane said...

Fortunately for him, those millions of dollars were not his -- they were donated!

I'm sure a lot of people are sick of politics after a long campaign. But there will be a lot of analysis over the next couple of days about what McCain could have done differently. I certainly have some ideas and expressed some of them on another thread.

hbrown said...

That's probably what he really wants to do right now.
Even though he has to wander about talking to various people for a good bit of tonight.

Unknown said...

He was pretty much crying during the speech though.

I know the dollars were donated, but don't you think that, if some of the millions were spent on homeless, hungry, or some type of needy. It kinda just makes me a little sick. I mean both of the campaigns, really? That's just a lot of money on advertising.

That was very liberal of me.

hbrown said...

I know it was all donated, but yeah, I agree that the money could have gone to a better place.

Someone should do a poll to see how much money spent on advertisements actually affects how people vote.
(If i see a mccain commercial, but i'm dead set on obama, how much that mccain commercial actually makes me think about changing my vote.)
It could be pretty tricky though..

Unknown said...

OBAMA! yay
and you may think he's unqu(A)lified but he's not unqu(I)lified. lol. also muslims are cool its members of al queda who did the 9/11 attacks. And either way obama, or mccain I'm just happy Bush isnt in there anymore! hahaha

Mr. Crane said...

Hi Dustin; thanks for the spelling lesson. :-)

Haley, that would be an interesting pole! Also when you consider that 150,000 dollars went to Sarah Palin to make her look 'presentable' and whatnot. I'm glad that my money went to another candidate who used it wiser.

I just saw some covers of newspapers and magazines with Obama on the front. I want to buy one of each and frame them.
